In practice
RentCast earns its popularity. Records, estimates, listings, and market trends through a simple API. But an estimate is not an underwrite. When the response needs to be a defensible offer instead of a data point, that is the Bricked API.
Value estimates come from weighted averages of nearby sales. Bricked selects specific comps, scores their condition from photos, and shows the adjustments.
There is no repair intelligence in the response. Bricked returns an itemized repair budget priced from local costs.
The output is an input. Your app still has to make the call. The output is the call: ARV, as-is value, and an offer price.
